  Rev James William Webb,  

  PhD (“Pastor Jim”) was

  born in Nashville, Tennessee.

  He is married to Myra and 

  the father of seven children. 

     

  Pastor Jim holds a Bachelor 

  of Science Degree in  

  Government and Urban Studies (Magna Cum Laude 

  Graduate) from Windsor  University, Los Angeles 

  California, a Master of Philosophy Degree from New

  College at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Scotland, a

  Doctor of Philosophy Degree and a Doctor of Sacred

  Theology Degree from Christ Seminary-Seminex, St.

  Louis, Missouri.  He has studied at other Universities

  and Colleges, which include Fisk University, Harvard –

  M.I.T., Southern Illinois University and the United

  States Diplomatic School.

  

  Prior to assuming the pastorate of Antioch Missionary

  Baptist Church, Pastor Jim previously pastored Bethel

  Church, Lusaka, Zambia, Plumstead Baptist Church,

  Cape Town, South Africa and Trinity A.M.E. Church,

  Atlanta, Georgia.  He has had the distinction of serving

  two Nobel Peace Prize winners, Dr. Martin Luther King, 

  Jr., and Mr. Nelson Mandela.  For six years he was

  Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan and 

  served as liaison between the White House and the

  Department of Commerce.  As an international

  consultant he has been involved in conflict resolution

  from Africa to Southeast Asia.

 

  He currently serves on the Board of Directors – Dalitso

  School, Center For The Next Generation and the Amaka

  Foundation. His previous board memberships include,

  among others, The Council of Churches in Zambia,

  World Council of Churches and ACAC Federal Credit

  Union.  Pastor Jim received the Peter Marshall

  Fellowship, White House Fellowship and was inducted

  into “Living Legends Hall of Fame”, by The National

  Voting Rights Museum in Selma, Alabama.

 

  He is a former member of the United States Marine

  Corps and, presently a member of the Prince Hall

  Masons and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
